Speech by the President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee at the Closing Ceremony of the Bicentenary Celebrations of the Diocese of Calcutta at St. Paul’s Cathedral
1. I am happy to be present here at this closing ceremony of the bicentenary celebrations of the Diocese of Calcutta, Church of North India. At the outset, let me congratulate this historic institution on completing two hundred years of its fruitful journey of service and commitment to the city of Kolkata and to the society at large.

1.I am honoured to deliver the Indira Gandhi Memorial Lecture of the Asiatic Society for the year 2013. I am grateful to the members of the Council as well as members of the Advisory Board of the Asiatic Society for inviting me to deliver this Lecture.
1. I am happy to be here today to attend the second annual convocation of the Central University of Karnataka. It is one of the sixteen central universities started in 2009.
I am delighted to be here today on this historic occasion.
1.At the outset, I would like to express my sincere thanks for extending me the invitation for the Foundation Stone laying ceremony of the State cancer Institute at this prestigious Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncolog
1. It is my privilege to inaugurate the Vedapathasala at Ai-Bhimavaram today. I am sure this Vedapathasala will emerge as a centre for promoting Vedic knowledge, oral traditions and our heritage.
