Closing Remarks by the President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee on the Third Day of Visitor’s Conference

1.At the outset, I would like to compliment all the heads of central higher educational institutions (CHEIs) for thoroughly analyzing the action taken reports and participating in the discussions on the agenda items through group work and panel discussion. I am happy to see the concrete outcomes which of course will be studied in detail by my Secretariat and by MHRD for further action.

sp1.I am happy to be here for the twenty-ninth convocation of Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology. At the outset, let me congratulate all the students who have received degrees and have been awarded with medals today. Your education has made you capable of entering a field which is at the heart of our country’s socio-economy.

sp1.I am pleased to be here this evening to deliver the Cavalry Memorial Lecture organized by the Cavalry Officers’ Association. This organization of serving and retired officers of the Indian Armoured Corps conducts this Lecture annually to pay tribute to a decorated soldier of the Corps.
