The Delegates of the World Congress on Clinical and Preventive
Cardiology - 2008 called on the President of India, Smt. Pratibha
Devisingh Patil at Rashtrapati Bhavan on September 22, 2008. During
their interaction the delegates informed the President about the
proceedings of the Congress. The President welcomed the delegates to
Rashtrapati Bhavan and suggested that Western systems of prevention of
cardiac diseases as well as Indian systems, such as Ayurveda and Unani
systems can be dovetailed along with Yoga to prevent the increasing
incidence of heart diseases in the country.
