The President of India, Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil presented the Civil Investiture Awards to eminent persons from various fields at a function in the Ashoka Hall of Rashtrapati Bhavan on April 14, 2009. The President presented 4 Padma Vibhushans, 14 Padma Bhushans and 45 Padma Shris.
