The President of the Republic of Iceland, H.E. Dr. Olafur Ragnar Grimsson met the President of India, Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil at Rashtrapati Bhavan on January 14, 2010. The two leaders discussed bilateral and international issues of mutual interest. The President of India congratulated the President of Iceland on being presented the Jawaharlal Nehru Award for International Understanding for the year 2007. The President later hosted a Banquet in honour of the visiting President.
