The President of India, Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil had special visitors at Rashtrapati Bhavan on September 11, 2009, when students of the Umeed School run by the Indian Air Force called on her. The school is run for children with disabilities. The wife of the Air Force Chief, Smt. Madhubala Naik is the Patron of the School. The President was impressed by the products made by the students and said she was happy that the Indian Air Force was making efforts to inspire confidence in these students, so that could proudly stand on their feet.
