A group of some 50 children from Kalamabad Village in Kupwara District of Jammu and Kashmir met the President of India, Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on July 10, 2009. The children are currently on a visit to Delhi, Chandigarh, Amritsar and Agra under the Indian Army's Operation Sadbhavana, which aims to show other parts of India to the children of Jammu and Kashmir. The President asked the chilren to develop their talents and work for the progress of the nation. She added that India was a nation of diversity and beauty and if the youth of the nation from different regions interact with one another, this shall definitley lead to further strengthening of our national unity.
