State Civil Service Officers promoted to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) called-on the President of India, Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil at Rashtrapati Bhavan on April 6, 2010. Speaking to the Officers the President said they were the key to successful implementation of government policies throughout the country. The President felt that they should use their experience to effectively co-ordinate between various agencies and the success of schemes for the welfare of the people would largely depend on their effectiveness. The President also urged them to ensure that funds and resources allocated to various schemes reached their intended targets.
