The President visits Mahatma Gandhi's Birthplace on Gandhi Jayanti
The President of India, Smt. Prataibha Devisingh Patil visited the birthplace of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi at Porbandar on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti on October 2, 2009. The President paid homage to Gandhiji and took part in a Sarvadharma Prarthana. The President was accompanied by the Chief Minister of Gujarat, Shri Narendra Modi.
